Swift scholarships for college, university or technical training encourage academic achievement for sons and daughters of Swift Transportation employees.

In addition to academic achievement, these one-year renewable awards encourage Swift Scholars to participate in campus activities and to take advantage of community service opportunities.

How to apply

Step 1. Applicant must meet eligibility requirements to apply for scholarship. See FAQs below: “Who is eligible to apply?”

Step 2. The Swift Charities Scholarships are administered by The Arizona Community Foundation. By clicking on this link, you can get the information and forms you need to apply as well as the time restrictions they enforce.

Step 3. The student submits the completed scholarship application and all other necessary
information and documentation (FAFSA, transcripts, essay, etc.) to the Arizona Community Foundation.

Step 4. The Scholarship Committee at Arizona Community Foundation reviews completed applications and general information to make the outcome determination.

Step 5. The Scholarship Committee sends letters to applicants informing them of the final decision. They will also monitor the renewal process for those who wish to renew their Swift Charities Scholarship in the future.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be:

- A U.S. Citizen.

- 21 years of age or younger.

- A graduating senior from an accredited high school or a student already attending an accredited post-secondary institution.

- Accepted by and planning to enroll as a full-time student in an accredited, nonprofit, post-secondary institution.

- An active participant in school and community activities.

- In need of financial assistance as determined by FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

- The student of a parent or guardian who has been an employee of Swift Transportation for at least two years by the application deadline.
